Setter Shepard is a specialist practice offering insolvency services and customised strategic solutions for your personal and business needs. Adam Shepard Adam is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia and is a Registered and Official Liquidator of the Supreme and Federal Courts. Adam started his career in 1991 with a national firm before commencing work with Star Dean-Willcocks in 1995. Adam has taken a broad range of appointments and as a result has extensive knowledge of all facets of insolvency services. Adam believes the key to helping a company and all other stakeholders including employees, secured creditors and unsecured creditors is the need to listen carefully, thus enabling him to understand the business and then formulate a structured strategy to achieve the best outcome for the company and its creditors.
Adam has extensive experience in the IT industry, retail and hospitality industry and has had senior roles in the Australian Tea Tree Oil Research Institute, Clifford Corporation, Norman Ross, Cobar Mines, Hound Dog Australia, Table Eight, Discovery Group and Apex Sports.
Adam is a keen road and mountain biker, mountaineer, rock and ice climber. Karl Setter Karl commenced his career in 1997 with business services, taxation and IT roles before focusing on Insolvency full time. He is a graduate of the Insolvency Education Program and is a member of the IPA. Prior to Setter Shepard he worked at Star Dean-Willcocks for 11.5 years.
He has experience in a wide range of industries including hospitality, construction, retail and IT. Karl prides himself on being up to date on all areas of the profession and has a special interest in the principles of "set-off" in Insolvency.
Karl recently completed a Masters of Design and has an interest in service design and graphic novels.
